Ah, the Lost Prophecy. You know we never thought our site would ever get created. Two sites, a million different names, and two hundred members later (not to mention several friendships that will last a lifetime) it's here.

I suppose it all started with myself, Kodee (who's writing this) and a few members of the HPN. We set out to create 'The Army of Darkness.' I'm sure very few that are reading this remember what it was, or still is in an essence. With an evanesce (there's a story behind, I assure you of that) it was gone. Brittany, Blayne, Jessi, and myself were out in the cold. We quickly ditched the 'Army of Darkness' and moved onto 'Grimmauld Place'. I still remember when Ali (who at the time had just started chatting on MSN) came up with the name Grimmauld Place. Blayne and I had argued over several names for the longest time and I was watching something on MTV. It was a music video. I still remember it. Ali had then suggested 'Grimmauld Place'. Yes, this is where Ali came into play.

'Grimmauld Place' was to be awesome. We all had high hopes. We even had a site that I created (mind you it was never released). Ali was made a Professor and made Head of Ravenclaw House. With that a new friendship was created. Yes, the four houses and their Professors were first started at Grimmauld Place. Just when it seemed as if we were to be the next top Harry Potter fan site things went all-wrong. Our server crashed. We lost everything. Every single forum topic, every single member, every single shred of 'Grimmauld Place' was gone. It was due to a server issue. Our site had been hacked. Who did this we don't know.

I believe 'Grimmauld Place' started up again. Yes it did and I was made the Head of Hufflepuff. Our site never got started, however. Our members grew in numbers, which was a good thing. But alas what do you think happened next? Our server crashed yet again. Although this time it was not due to an immature hacker it was due to our host. So after many tears and stress outs from all involved we decided to have another go, you know the saying…3rd time lucky.

Our server promised that this would never happen again. They've kept their promise to this day. It, in fact, hasn’t happened again. To this day.

On discussing the new site Jessi came up with the name 'Lost Prophecy'. She was reading Order of the Phoenix at the time and it hit her. She then bought a domain name and it was born. The 'Lost Prophecy'. As our friendships manifested Ali and Jessi found out that Ali was the brave one, Jessi seemed to have the brains. So the two swapped houses. Ali became the new Head of Gryffindor house and Jessi switched over to Ravenclaw. We just had a forum and it was once again slowly growing when talk of new forum software spread. It was to be known as SMF. It was awesome. Just look at it! Jessi and I were in love. The lovely Ali even spent $50 so we could have charter membership. To our knowledge we were the second Harry Potter fan site to have SMF privileges. Even though we had SMF the site would not come for some time after. And in fact that "coming soon" page that I created remained up there for many months. But it's here now. 'The Lost Prophecy', no longer just a forum. -Winks- Oh we've been through so much.

Oh of course the four of us have had our share of problems and issues besides dealing with the site. We've all been through a lot…and I mean a lot. But all of that doesn't matter now. We've finally made it. A year later the 'Lost Prophecy' is finally completed. We're here to stay people.

Oh yeah, the site. Well I think we all had different opinions as to how we should design it. I myself had a wonderfully marvellous idea of making it green. Not like lime neon green, the colour of my bedroom green…A Celtic green. With pictures of all the different versions of Harry Potter book covers. From the German Harry Potter to the UK Harry Potter to the USA Harry Potter. It was also going to be flash! Flash graphics! Needless to say Ali, Jessi, and Brittany overruled me. Hiss. They wanted purple because it matched our name. Purple and orbs with wispy little smoke…things! HA! Okay so I'm not the biggest fan of the design but hey, Jessi did almost 100% of it (Brit made the logo, nice logo Brit. -winks-) and this was Jessi's VERY FIRST attempt at making a site. She and I have a lot in common: We both hate Dream weaver. It has not, to this day, weaved any of my dreams. And I still prefer Notepad oh I'm way off topic aren't I. Ali did a lot of the content. The Spell Book belongs to her. Every single one of those spells was hand described by Ali herself! What a woman! We love you Ali!

Recent Addition

So just when we thought everything was going perfect.... SEVERE SERVER CRASH!!!! *sobs* yes my friends we lost everything, database backups were corrupt leaving our last save of forum being back in october, so we did what we thought was best... started anew and created a time vault The Pensieve a memory to the good days... and so we restarted everything... posts and post numbers, even online times were reset... about 3 weeks in we are going well so far and am happy to say that we now personally back up (and test) our database every few days, cause we *wont* let this happen again...
